I had this dream the other night about the moon. It was white and shiny and trying to crush me. I didn't like it.
Tired of the vagueness? Me too.
REBOOT!!

^You see that line. That is the point of no return so if you don't want to know what happens in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen DONT READ AFTER THE LINE!
So, here's the thing about first of all since it was a Michael Bay film I didn't go into the movie thinking there was going to be a huge plot that would carry the whole movie. Nor did I think that Michael Bay was going to make me think about anything. I went into this movie knowing my brain would be on cruise control for 2 1/2 hours and I enjoyed it. The things I did enjoy about the movie, is that they made Soundwave a badass. I mean did you see all the cool things he did? Taking over a satellite and telling Ravage where to go. Awesome, awesome stuff. +1 Michael Bay Something else I liked. Less Shia Lebeouf and more robots! Cause that is truly what the last movie lack. And don't give me flack about how it was an origin film and there needed be some groundwork layed out. No. Less Shia Lebeouf more Optimus Prime. One thing that worried me is that sometimes with sequels they get lazy and don't feel the need to tie the story all together. I think the story holds up, I know I read a ton of reviews on this movie was virtually plot-less. What movie were they watching? It does take a little while to get into the main story I'll give them that, but the story goes like this The Fallen was going to blow up the sun and they need to bring Optimus back to life so he can whoop some ass. A simple plot but it is there mr fancy pants critic. The only problems I have with the movie are minor petty things that always drive me nuts with any movie. For some reason since about 1970 screenplay writers have obsessions with killing the main character and then somehow magically bringing him back to life. It is logical the way they did it with giving the matrix to Optimus no complaints there and he did go down fighting like a badass. It's just the thing that they had to kill him to add dramatic effect. But oh no, Michael Bay doesn't stop there, in true fashion he kicks it up a notch and has Sam flatline at the end, but the matrix saves him as well. Or was it Mckayla yelling in his ear that woke him up..just a though. Also was it just me or was Meghan Fox's voice more annoying in this one. She didn't have the whole "Yeah I've been to juvy what about it" sound. I dunno I'm rambling. So yes, Michael Bay's second crack at Transformers wasn't anything that the greeks would write poetry about, but it was what I wanted a good fun movie about robots that transform into cars and destroy shit. Also there were 2 racist robots that were twin. AWESOME..ahem I mean..uhh bad. So on a scale of 5 stars it gets about a 3.5. Would have got a 4 but Leonard Nimoy did not voice a robot! That would have been epic. Sigh..oh well. Well I'm done for now. Time to sleep and get up and go to work again wooo!
